The interior was excavated and built into the rock but is bathed in natural light entering through the glazed dome.
The organ was built by Veikko Virtanen.
The ceiling is a giant disc made from 22 kilometres of copper wire.
The walls have been left as rough hewn stone. The church is often used as a concert venue due to its exxcellent acoustics. Temppeliaukio Kirkko is one of Helsinki’s most popular places for visitors with good reason.
